Freedom from poverty through higher Education.

Since the humble beginnings of Oasis Africa in 2005, the ripple effect of every donation, contribution, support and words of encouragement has resulted in extraordinary outcomes.

Oasis Africa focusses on providing access to quality education.

We bridge the gap between the inequality faced by slum-based students to access Secondary Boarding School & Tertiary education. These scholarships enable students and their families to escape a life of poverty.

Student Scholarships

Our purpose centres around “Freedom from Poverty through Education”.

Knowing that sending a child to High School is too expensive for most slum-based parents, there was a clear gap that needed to be filled. The reality of extreme poverty is tragic, yet the attitude of our students to go beyond their backgrounds to become role models for their generation is inspirational.

You can help us to fill this gap by providing a student with a scholarship that includes; full school fees, board/accommodation, class materials, school uniforms and personalised mentoring focussing on leadership and social development.

To assist each student under an Oasis Africa Scholarship, donor support ensures that each student has access to a Mentor providing motivation and accountability to their attendance, grades and behaviour.

During each term break, each student will attend a workshop facilitated by the Mentor to:

  • Review individual grades, paperwork and progress while receiving one-on-one advice for any areas of concern if applicable

  • Learn and be inspired by motivational or educational speakers or past OAA successful scholarship recipients

  • Be part of a team building day with other OAA scholars, creating a unique network of peer-to-peer support and personal development
