New Desks Supplied
As part of our ongoing commitment to seeing the school equipment resourced, we have just funded another delivery of school desks. Each desk is handcrafted by local tradesmen - a mandate of OAA - to ensure that the local community is benefited through this project.
The ongoing support of our sponsors and donors ensured that we had enough funding to provide these additional desks. Thanks!

At least 50,000 AIDS orphans and vulnerable children live in Africa’s poorest slum – Kibera – located in Nairobi, Kenya. Kibera is home to over 1 million people, where extended families, generally totalling 8 or more, live in small mud/stick shacks with corrugated roof and no electricity. There are no government hospitals or clinics, no proper sewerage systems and one latrine (hole in the ground) is shared by up to 400 people.
After seeing the need first hand in June 2005, Oasis Africa Australia was established to raise awareness and funds to help create a better future for these children through development of community based schools which provide food, education, shelter, safety, health services and essential trauma counseling.
